Women’s SEC tournament bracket: Full TV schedule, scores, results for 2025 championship

(This story has been updated to add new information).

Welcome to the postseason, where the madness is in full effect.

And if the regular season in the SEC was any showing, the conference tournament will likely follow suit and cause even more madness that will either help or hurt those teams that remain on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament.

The top seed in the 2025 women’s SEC tournament is No. 6 South Carolina, who was rewarded the No. 1 seed over Texas in the bracket on Sunday as a result of a coin flip by SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. Dawn Staley’s team is the top seed for the fourth straight season, and enters the SEC tournament battling for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Vic Shaefer and Texas have taken their first season in the SEC by storm, highlighted by their share of the SEC regular season with South Carolina. Led by Madison Booker, the Longhorns have been one of the top and hottest teams in women’s college basketball of late and are the most likely candidate to spoil the Gamecocks’ hope of winning three straight SEC tournament titles.

But the candidates to hoist the women’s SEC Conference tournament trophy on Sunday don’t just end at South Carolina and Texas.

Though they have lost three of their last five games, Kim Mulkey and LSU are expected to be one of those contenders. However, it won’t be all that easy for the seventh-ranked Tigers, who will be without star guard Flau’Jae Johnson as she continues to battle “shin inflammation.”

Others include No. 14 Kentucky, No. 13 Oklahoma and No. 21 Alabama. A potential dark horse could be No. 11 Tennessee, though first-year coach Kim Caldwell’s team is coming off back-to-back upsets.
