While his two Alabama football teammates were each first-round picks, Jalen Milroe was left without an NFL home after Thursday’s first round of the draft.
The Alabama quarterback was not one of the two quarterbacks selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft: Cam Ward, who went No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans and Jaxson Dart, who went No. 25 to the New York Giants.

Milroe is one of a handful of quarterbacks still looking to be selected as Day 2 of the NFL draft approaches along with Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, who was initially projected as a first-round pick.
Where could Milroe land? Here are a few options ahead of Day 2 of the NFL draft.
The Browns will have their pick of quarterbacks at the top of the second round, whether it’s Sanders, Milroe or someone like Louisville’s Tyler Shough or Syracuse’s Kyle McCord to add to a room that includes Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and the injured Deshaun Watson.
The Saints were also widely expected to go after a quarterback in the 2025 draft, and could potentially be in the market early in the second round with Derek Carr’s status up in the air, and Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener and Ben DiNucci waiting in the wings.
The team that showed up in droves to Milroe’s Pro Day in Tuscaloosa, the Steelers will have to put in work if they want to get a swing at Milroe in the second round. The Steelers’ next pick is at No. 83 overall in the third round: the team’s only Day 2 pick.
