Taylor Rooks is married!
After months of keeping her relationship private, the sports broadcaster revealed on July 24 that she quietly married her husband, Shane Fowler. During a conversation with GQ following their nuptials, Rooks reflected on their special day, saying, “His vows moved the entire room to tears. I’m still replaying them over and over in my head.”
Speaking of her husband, she said he is “so perfect it’s hard to believe he’s real.”
Rooks and Fowler kept their relationship private up until a week after the wedding, which was also a secret in itself (guests were not allowed phones, and there were no big announcements on social media beforehand, per GQ).
“I’m an incredibly private person because it’s important to have a life that belongs to you,” Rooks told the outlet. “Our relationship belongs to us. Our love belongs to us, so it’s only right that the moment belonged to us.”
So, who is Taylor Rooks’ husband? Here’s everything to know about Shane Fowler and his relationship with the sports broadcaster.

The couple met while Fowler was in his final year at Harvard Law School, per GQ.
According to GQ, Fowler later proposed by staging an elaborate scavenger hunt across New York City that ended with a backroom dinner at Fini, their favorite pizza spot.

Rooks and Fowler tied the knot on July 19, 2025. Less than a week later, Rooks shared a carousel of images from the celebration on Instagram, writing, “What a night. This is love 💍.”
According to GQ, it was a star-studded event that included NBA stars Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell and Draymond Green, as well as Rooks’ “best friend,” rapper Jack Harlow.
Per the outlet, the ceremony and reception took place at Gotham Hall in New York City. Rooks walked down the aisle to Stevie Wonder‘s “Ribbon in the Sky,” while her first dance with Fowler was set to Lauryn Hill‘s “Nothing Even Matters.”
“The beautiful columns, high ceilings, luxe draping, and dramatic lighting was exactly what we wanted,” Rooks said. “We wanted a venue that already possessed lots of character and depth.”
She said it was “incredibly important that the entire wedding happened in one spot,” given that changing locations between the ceremony and reception “can kill the vibe.” However, the afterparty took place at Zero Bond, a members-only club in downtown Manhattan, and lasted until nearly 4 a.m.
Following their nuptials, Rooks and Fowler went to Greece for their honeymoon.

Rooks and Fowler hadn’t gone public with their relationship until the wedding announcement. During a March 2024 appearance on the Way Up With Angela Yee podcast, Rooks kept the identity of her partner private, but opened up about being “spoken for.”
When asked whether being surrounded by men in her career made dating difficult, Rooks felt lucky to be “very loved and in love.”
“Luckily, he has literally no insecurities,” she said. “He is truly the most secure, most supportive, most encouraging, grandest man that you will ever meet.”

While on the Way Up With Angela Yee podcast, Rooks discussed why “love and relationships” should not be “rooted in ownership.”
“Sometimes, a lot of the rhetoric we hear that is more unhealthy or more toxic is about that ownership,” she said, adding that, for her, “love feels more like freedom.”
“It feels like I am letting you be who you are and I am accepting who you are,” she continued. “I am letting you move through life in the ways that feel good to you, and that’s also what I want love to feel like to me.”
