B.J. Novak has kept his love life private since he and his The Office costar Mindy Kaling broke up in 2007. But now, internet sleuths have uncovered he is dating someone new: Delaney Rowe.

While their relationship may be news to their fans, Rowe is no stranger to those chronically online. Her TikTok page, where Rowe posts satirical content mocking popular movie tropes and characters, boasts over 3 million followers, and her Instagram has over 1 million.

Though neither have addressed their relationship, fans speculated the two were dating after they were seen in a number of photos together taken at various events throughout late 2024. Months later, sources confirmed to PEOPLE they are officially together.

So who is B.J. Novak’s girlfriend? Here’s everything to know about Delaney Rowe and her relationship with the actor.

Rowe grew up in Idaho

Rowe grew up in Boise, Idaho, and had dreamed of being an actress as a child. She told Who What Wear in 2023 that she regularly participated in the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in the summers with the intention of attending elite drama schools like Juilliard or New York University.

However, when that didn’t work out, she set her sights on Los Angeles, moving to the city to pursue her BFA in acting. After assembling a team of managers and agents, Rowe realized that the roles they wanted her to go out for — describing them as the “Nina Dobrev type” to Vanity Fair — were not aligned with her more comedic skillset.

“There was this huge gap in between how myself and my team saw me, and how people in the actual industry saw me — like, something’s not connecting, and we couldn’t figure it out,” she told the outlet in August 2023.

She was a personal chef for some time

After struggling to get her acting career off the ground, Rowe pivoted to another one of her hobbies: cooking. She helped cook some meals for a local family and recalled thinking to herself that it wouldn’t be so hard to become a personal chef.

She then went on to create flyers online, in which she lied about going to culinary school, and stuffed them in mailboxes around Beverly Hills.

One of those flyers landed with a doctor treating the late Marvel comic writer Stan Lee, who became her first client, she told Vanity Fair. However, she was shortly fired for doing too good of a job, she joked.

“I was hired to make heart-healthy food,” she said. “I would make him red lentil dal and he’d be like, ‘I want veal scallopini from Dan Tana’s, what are you doing?’ ”

Rowe is a popular TikTok creator

When the pandemic hit, Rowe was inspired to get back to her acting roots — and to use TikTok as a platform to do it.

“I want to do something to make my insides match my outsides a little bit more, and I have to write them — I can’t just expect material to show up, and then I can put my fun take on it,” she told Vanity Fair.

The creator continued, “TikTok came around, and I was like, I’m just going to use this as one big self-tape to show anybody who wants to watch that I can be funny.”

Rowe quickly found her niche in satirizing classic movie plots or character tropes, such as the “manic pixie dream girl” in indie movies. However, Rowe has made it clear that she’s not making fun of any specific actors or movies, but rather appreciates the work.

“By the way, I love these movies that I make fun of,” she told Who What Wear. “I love this archetype. I think it’s so fantastic, and it’s almost my homage to it rather than a parody.”

Many of her fans leave comments on her posts lauding her for the accuracy of her depictions, but Rowe says that shouldn’t come as a surprise.

“People are like, ‘Why is this so accurate? Why is the writing so spot-on?’ I’ve been reading sides for these kinds of shows for 10 years. I know how these scenes go,” she said.

Rowe and Novak were first photographed at events together in late 2024

While neither have posted about their relationship, Novak and Rowe were photographed attending a number of industry events together. Per Vogue, they were seen together in October 2024 at the special screening of Goodrich.

A month later, they were photographed sitting together at the How Long Gone after-party at The Standard hotel in New York City. A few days later, a source told DeuxMoi that they saw the couple leaving the Bowery hotel in N.Y.C. together.

They were confirmed to be dating in April 2025

Sources confirmed to PEOPLE in April 2025 that the two are officially dating.

However, neither Novak nor Rowe’s reps immediately responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
