White House responds to latest ‘South Park’ episode mocking Trump

(CNN) – A well-known animated TV series is receiving a fiery response from the White House.

Comedy Central’s “South Park” is the brainchild of creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

The season premiere of the show Wednesday night included a scene with President Donald Trump lying in bed with Satan.

Needless to say, the depiction of the president was not flattering.

On Thursday, a White House spokesperson issued a statement saying “South Park” hasn’t been relevant for more than 20 years.

It went on to say the “fourth-rate” show is hanging on by a thread by “uninspired ideas in an attempt for attention.”

The show’s parent company, Paramount, has not issued a response.
