WIMBLEDON
Wimbledon Championships
Much like your father’s attention on a Saturday morning, all eyes will be focused on the grass at Wimbledon.
The courts of well-manicured lawn will play host to the best players the tennis world has to offer, competing over two weeks to determine a champion. Work on this surface will be long and hard for the participants, who all want to etch their name into the history books at this historic venue.
It’s win-or-go-home for each of the 128 participants – courtesy of the single elimination tournament.
That means the dream can quickly become a nightmare for even the world’s best. At the end of the road, two will compete to hoist the Gentleman’s Singles Challenge Cup.
Here’s what to know about when it will take place, including the time, where to watch and who has previously had the honor.
