‘Wednesday’ season 2: Everything to know about spooky cast, episodes, Lady Gaga’s role

The dress code for this Wednesday consists of all black because season two of the hit series “Wednesday,” starring La Quinta native Jenna Ortega, has dropped on Netflix.

Following Wednesday’s heroic efforts to save her Nevermore Academy classmates from a monstrous creature, wicked teacher and malevolent pilgrim Joseph Crackstone, she’s now the biggest celebrity at school, much to her dismay. But with that fame comes plenty of trouble, especially as season one concluded with an errie message from someone stalking Wednesday.

Here’s what you need to know about the new season.

How many episodes are in season 2 of ‘Wednesday’?

Cast of ‘Wednesday’ season 2 includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, newcomer Evie Templeton

Plenty of familiar faces are back for season two of “Wednesday,” along with some newcomers.

Ortega reprises her role as the titular character who loves all things macabre. During her summer break, Wednesday has been trying to master her psychic abilities, which leads her to a creepy serial killer (how’s that for a summer vacation!). Her return to Nevermore isn’t an entirely pleasant one thanks to her newfound fame and more family members lurking about the school grounds, not to mention plenty of evil afoot.

Other returning cast members include Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, all of whom with expanded roles this season; Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester; Emma Myers as Wednesday’s roommate Enid Sinclair; Hunter Doohan as barista-turned-monster Tyler Galpin; Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay; Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus; and Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin.

New to the cast for season two is Evie Templeton, who plays Agnes DeMille, a big fan of Wednesday’s who wants to get as close as possible to the teen hero. Her sweet energy is the total antithesis to Wednesday’s dry humor and sharp wit.

Other new cast members include Steve Buscemi as Principal Dort, Billie Piper as music teacher Isadora Capri, Christopher Lloyd as Nevermore’s longest serving teacher Professor Orloff, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Ritchie Santiago and Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump, Morticia’s formidable mother.

Pugsley joins Wednesday at Nevermore Academy

Wednesday isn’t the only Addams enrolled at Nevermore Academy this year. Her eccentric brother Pugsley joins her this time around, and while he’s much sweeter than his older sister, he has a hard time making friends. Not to mention his powers of electrokinesis get him into a bit of trouble from time to time.

Morticia and Gomez also have more reason to be on campus, much to Wednesday’s chagrin. How is a teen superstar supposed to spread her raven wings and fly when her parents are everywhere?

Is Lady Gaga in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2?

Lady Gaga brought the house down during the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, released and is currently touring her acclaimed album “Mayhem,” and even made time to guest star on season two of “Wednesday.”

Her involvement in the series was confirmed during her performance at the film and series showcase event Netflix Tudum 2025 on May 31, where she performed a medley of songs. Though not too many details have been revealed, Netflix provided a description of her character: “Mysterious and enigmatic, Rosaline Rotwood is a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”

How old is Wednesday in season 2?
