9NEWS is the hometown television partner for the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos agreed to a multi-year extension with 9NEWS in April, which has served as the team’s flagship television station since 2011. As part of the agreement, 9NEWS will air all three of the team’s preseason games this season.
9NEWS will also produce Broncos programming, including “Broncos Huddle,” “Game Day Live,” “Broncos Tonight,” and quarterly specials.
“9NEWS has been a valued partner of the Broncos for the last 14 years, and we couldn’t be more excited to renew and extend this partnership as the club’s Hometown Television Partner,” said Broncos President Damani Leech. “As the media landscape continues to evolve, 9NEWS has done a consistent job of keeping Broncos Country informed. They are committed to delivering engaging and impactful football content to Coloradans, including top-tier preseason broadcasts and exclusive programming.”
“9NEWS is proud to extend our long-standing partnership with the Denver Broncos as their hometown television partner,” said Mark Cornetta, president and general manager. “For more than a decade, we’ve worked together to bring Broncos fans exclusive coverage, in-depth analysis, and high-quality programming. We look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional Broncos content, including preseason games and unique local shows, to our viewers across Colorado.”
The Broncos and 9NEWS made the announcement inside Studio B of the KUSA television station. Broncos’ cheerleaders, Miles the Mascot, Leech, 9NEWS reporters, photographers and sales people from both companies gathered for the festive event.
“9NEWS has been and continues to be a great partner in service of the fans and in service of Broncos Country,’’ Leech said after the announcement ceremony. “Not just in delivering games but highlight off-the-field, on-the-field content. All the things I think make the NFL so great is you have media partners that tell the story and fill that narrative up of before games and after games. And 9 has been a great partner in doing it and look forward to doing it more.”
