CINCINNATI, Ohio — Actress Kelley Mack, an Ohio native who appeared in TV shows such as “The Walking Dead,” “9-1-1,” and “Chicago Med,” has died at the age of 33.
Family members confirmed in a post on social media that Mack died Saturday in her hometown of Cincinnati.
“It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley,” the post says. “Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”
E! Online reports Mack died of diffuse midline glioma, a rare form of cancer. E! reports the disease is “a highly aggressive, cancerous brain tumor that develops in the midline structures of the brain, such as the brainstem, thalamus, and spinal cord.”
According to her biography on IMDB.com, Mack was born on July 10, 1992, in Cincinnati, as Kelley Lynne Klebenow. She started her acting career at young age by appearing in commercials.
Her first credit on IMDB is listed in 2008 in the short film “The Elephant Garden.” She portrayed Addy in five episodes of “The Walking Dead” in 2018 and 2019. Her final credit is this year in the film “Universal.” She also has five producing credits.
She is survived by her parents, Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow; her sister, Kathryn; her brother, Parker; and several other relatives. A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Aug. 16 in Glendale, Ohio.
