The Miami Heat‘s 2025 NBA Playoffs left much to be desired as the Heat were swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Through it all, Miami Heat reporter Trish Christakis went viral for her strong on court presence as fans hyped up her sense of style and appearance at NBA games featuring one of the Eastern Conference’s most famous teams.

On Tuesday evening, the Heat reporter could not contain herself as she became smitten with a post from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy on X. 

Portnoy shared a photo of his beloved dog Miss Peaches that caught the attention of Christakis on a busy night of playoff action.

Portnoy called his dog the “cutest spokeswoman who ever lived’ in a post that was viewed over 530,000 times as of early Wednesday morning. 

Christakis replied in traditional journalist fashion as she announced her intentions to the Barstool founder. 

“Peachy!!!! I need to do a follow-up story on her now,” she wrote along with a doey-eyed emoji and a ruby red heart emoji. 

Christakis has gone viral on X with her recent sideline photo garnering nearly five million views on the social media platform as of the same timeframe. 

Her photo showcased her dedication to her craft of NBA reporting as fans acquainted themselves with the viral reporter for the first time.
