Like the Camry, the RAV4 is now fully hybrid. A 320-horsepower electric motor gives up to 50 miles of range, compared to 42 miles previously. Toyota says higher trim levels can fast-charge from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.

The two electric motors work in tandem with a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine. Depending on which of the seven trims you buy, power output varies between front-wheel and all-wheel drive.

Unfortunately for button lovers, air conditioning and heat controls are now integrated into the bottom of the touchscreen.

A new customizable gauge cluster shows on a screen in front of the driver. Top trims get a heads-up display, too.
