Todd Chrisley and daughter reunite after prison release

A day after receiving a presidential pardon, Todd and Julie Chrisley were released from federal prison and are reportedly back to work on a new reality show.

Their daughter Savannah Chrisley shared her first moments with her father to her Instagram Stories. In typical Chrisley fashion, the heartfelt reunion was brought with humor.

“We’re getting home, as I puke the whole way,” she said as she laughed. “I’ve got Todd over here being dramatic.”

Her father didn’t hold back saying, “I didn’t have to deal with this in prison.”

The next video shows Todd urging Savannah to feel his “jacked” arm just after they left the Pensacola, Florida prison on Wednesday. He was released while serving a 12-year sentence.

“Feel that muscle,” he said to his daughter, who was surprised by the change in physique.

While his voice and arm were shown in the video, his face was noticeably absent.

Julie Chrisley was released from prison in Kentucky, but no videos have been posted about her just yet. She was serving a seven-year sentence.

In 2022, the couple, known for their reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” was convicted of swindling banks out of more than $30 million to support their lavish lifestyle. They were indicted in 2019.

Meanwhile, the couple’s former accountant now wants a pardon as well, reports The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was convicted of helping the couple commit tax evasion and sentenced to three years in prison in 2022. He was released in November 2024 and paid a $35,000 fine.

However, on May 27, President Trump granted the two a full pardon.

“Your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow,” Trump says in video of the call with the Chrisleys’ children. “I don’t know them, but give them my regards.”

Once the president signed off on the move, Savannah immediately posted the news on Instagram.

“God is still writing your story. He’s Not Late. He’s Not Distant. HE’S NOT DONE, & What is coming is MORE than you could’ve imagined,” she wrote in the caption. “And I will leave you with this – ‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.’”

In the meantime, the family may be back to reality television.

Sources tell PEOPLE Magazine that the producers didn’t know about the pardons and say the series is “evolving rapidly” with cameras capturing the family’s lives in real time.
