For the second Trump administration, Ivanka Trump has figured out how to be First Daughter without all the hassle of having to go to meetings, live in D.C., or stand next to her dad as he ruins millions of people’s lives. This time around, she has opted to stay in Miami most of the time and flies up only for the fun stuff. For example, she popped over to the White House on Monday to hang out with the Philadelphia Eagles, who visited, per tradition, as part of their Super Bowl victory tour.
In an Instagram post, Ivanka congratulated the Eagles on their Super Bowl win and thanked running back Saquon Barkley (who has really taken a liking to the Trump family) for playing with her son Theo. “My highlight of the day? Theo challenging @saquon to a race in the Rose Garden after my father wisely demurred,” Ivanka wrote, referring to Trump joking about a foot race with the NFL star. Haha!
Unfortunately for Ivanka, not all of the Eagles were available to provide entertainment during the Kushner-family field trip. Quarterback Jalen Hurts skipped the team trip to the White House, meaning he missed out on the pleasure of making it to Ivanka’s grid. When previously asked whether he would be attending the event, he told a Time reporter, “Um … ” before going silent. Message received, king.
So, what fun event will Ivanka attend next? Well, this administration isn’t big on having cool people drop by. That being said, it wouldn’t be that crazy for Trump to create a National Jujitsu Day just to get his favorite kid to come visit him.
