True crime shows are having a huge moment on Paramount+ this March. The weather might slowly make its way for spring, but there’s nothing more thrilling than watching cold-blooded killers on TV. Based on the wildly successful Saturday Night Live skit, jobless 20-something rockheads Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) create their own on-screen universe in Wayne’s World. Coming live from suburban Aurora, Illinois, the two funemployed besties on a public access TV show aptly titled “Wayne’s World”. As word of their wacky channel gets to a local station, sleazy producer Benjamin Oliver (Rob Lowe) sees it as his next production gold mine. While Benjamin has every intention of bringing the show to exploding commercial success, Wayne and Garth have no intention of selling out. Sure, the endless list of money and sponsorships may entice them. But there’s nothing more heavy metal, and rebellious, than two regular dudes standing up to the big guy.

‘Sin City Gigolo: A Murder in Las Vegas’

Crime never sleeps in Paramount+’s newest docuseries, Sin City Gigolo: A Murder in Las Vegas. The Strip City is infamous for many things; the endless casinos, blinding neon lights, and all sorts of vices coming to life. However, things take a bloody turn when a cast member from the mid-2000s Showtime series, Gigolos, commits an unspeakable crime. At the heart of the story is Akshaya Kubiak, best known for starring as Ash Arman. The original show caused a stir among the public, but its main group of male cast reveled in the popularity (and notoriety) that came with its run. However, years after the show’s finale, Kubiak was arrested for murdering one of his clients, spiraling into one of the most sensational cases on television.
‘Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party’

Rock and roll is very much alive with Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party. Based on the long-lost 16mm reels of Tom Petty’s “Heartbreakers Beach Party,” these clips of the musician’s ‘80s documentary have long been part of his lore. Filmed in 1982-1983, the original footage shows Petty and his band as they finish, promote, and tour around the “Long After Dark” album. Unfortunately, following its premiere in 1983, the film was considered too experimental for the airwaves; not even MTV could handle it. Having been shelved for more than four decades, Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party is back to see the light of day. Remastered for today’s audiences, the documentary shows the singer at his candid, fast-paced prime; cementing his place as one of America’s greatest bands.
