GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Wisconsin’s first confirmed tornado of 2025 touched down in western Wisconsin Monday night.
The tornado was spotted near Augusta, 22 miles southeast of Eau Claire, in Eau Claire County.
Meteorologists from that area say the funnel likely touched down and lifted multiple times along its path.
We don’t know the extent of damage. There are no reports of injuries.
There was also storm damage in Shawano County, where First Alert Weather’s VIPIR Max indicated a possible tornado in Mattoon. There are downed trees and power lines across the town and snapped power poles on the south side of town.
