Rob McElhenney witnessed his beloved Wrexham gain another promotion this weekend, and it’s safe to say the co-owner has been feeling the effects of the celebrations.
Wrexham’s incredible story took another positive twist this weekend, with a rousing 3-0 win against Charlton Athletic at the Racecourse Ground securing automatic promotion for the Red Dragons.
Phil Parkinson’s men have been up there fighting for second place for weeks, with Wycombe Wanderers and Wrexham trading places game by game, but the Chairboys slipped up again on Saturday afternoon.
Rob McElhenney and his fellow co-owner, Ryan Reynolds, were in attendance to see the team rise to the occasion, and they can now look forward to Championship football next season.

Upon clinching promotion, McElhenney managed just three words on social media as he heralded the triumphant day, promising Wrexham were ‘not done yet’ in their exciting journey.
Now, the day after that special moment, McElhenney has shared a few more words, but it seems he has been partying a little too hard.
Taking to Twitter/x, he wrote: “I have a bit of a headache. Worth it.”
We know that McElhenney loves getting involved with the Wrexham crowd, whether he’s at the games or heading to The Turf pub next door to the stadium. Now, it would appear he had one too many pints in his celebrations last night.
This message on social media is just one of the great messages the Wrexham owners have shared in the wake of their promotion, with support for Phil Parkinson and the pair reflecting on their aims for Wrexham.

Since they arrived at the club, both Rob and Ryan have invested not only their money but their hearts and souls into Wrexham, and it’s been a delight to see.
Rival fans may be bitter about Wrexham’s success, but from a completely neutral perspective, surely everyone can admit that the passion and commitment from the Hollywood stars in raising the profile of the club is admirable and important.
Truth is, we need more people like Rob McElhenney in the sport. Too many owners up and down the country are focused only on running football clubs like businesses; thankfully, Wrexham now have owners who can put the community first, enjoy success on the pitch, and achieve financial security off it.
With Rob and Ryan set to use a £40m war chest next season to help Wrexham compete in the Championship, the sky really is the limit for this club, and it’s in no small part down to the way the owners have got behind the project.
