The South Carolina Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers renew the premier rivalry in college baseball as they match up in the Reedy River Rivalry presented by ScanSource on March 1 at Fluor Field. Beyond the game itself, which brings thousands to Downtown Greenville, this year’s game will include a ramped up pregame atmosphere. The Drive will host the Reedy River Rivalry Fan Fest on District 356 beginning at 10 AM with food trucks, live music, tailgate games, TVs, and more.

Game Notes:

The game returns to Downtown Greenville for the 12th edition of the rivalry after the Gamecocks won the 11th meeting between the two teams in 2023. The series in Downtown Greenville sees South Carolina with a slim lead -6 wins to 5- over the Tigers from Clemson.

The rivalry often brings some of the largest crowds to Fluor Field and Downtown Greenville with the 2023 drawing 7,215 attendees to the stadium.

Reedy River Rivalry Fan Fest: Presented by ScanSource

Hosted by the Drive and FREE for all ages, the Fan Fest will give a boosted atmosphere to an already thrilling pre-game environment complete with food, drinks, live music, shopping and tailgate games throughout District 356.

Food and Drinks:

The Fan Fest will be anchored by two stellar and local food vendors — Hip Burger and Nard’s Backyard BBQ, in conjunction with bar areas.

Hip Burger: The SC-based burger joint will bring its famous food truck and serve up its “edible form of art.”

Nard’s Backyard BBQ: The BBQ food truck with a 20-year history on the BBQ Competition Circuit across South Carolina with a menu of all your smokehouse favorites.

Live Music and Entertainment:

No atmosphere is complete without a soundtrack and this year’s Fan Fest will be bolstered by the sounds of Trey Francis Music, a Greenville native, will be performing for fans pregame on District 356.

Beyond the stage, the event will include plenty of tailgate games and be adorned with big screen TVs streaming the game inside the stadium. The Tiger from Clemson, Cocky from USC and Reedy Rip’it will also be there, so be sure to find them for photos and fun.

Shopping:

Both Clemson and South Carolina will host their respective merchandise displays, with opportunity to be outfitted for the big game in the latest team apparel.

The Drive Team Store has partnered with Kanga Coolers to showcase Tigers and Gamecocks branded products during Fan Fest. Kanga was founded by a trio of Clemson University alumni and featured on the ABC show Shark Tank.

The Drive Team Store will also occupy a shopping spot on the District complete with Reedy River Rivalry branded apparel and novelties as well as Drive and local South Carolina pieces.

Fluor Field Bag Policy:

To provide a safer environment for the public and expedite fan entry into Fluor Field, Greenville Drive policy limits and restricts the size and type of bags that are permitted into the stadium during Drive games, collegiate and high school games, and any other in-stadium public event.

The Drive encourage fans not to bring any bags, however, the following will be permitted:

  • Clear bags and backpacks are permitted
  • Medical Bags no larger than what is required to transport necessary medical equipment
  • Diaper Bags for fans that are accompanied by infant(s)
  • Small, Single Compartment Clutches no larger than 5×9 inches
