NHC monitoring multiple hot spots in Atlantic

National Hurricane Center watching multiple hot spots in Atlantic

SPEAKING OF THE TROPICS, IT IS GETTING ACTIVE. WE’RE FOLLOWING THREE DISTURBANCES NOW IN THE ATLANTIC BASIN. IT GOT REALLY BUSY FAST THIS WEEKEND. TROPICAL STORM DEXTER, WHICH IS A FISH STORM. THIS AREA LOW PRESSURE, WHICH IS THE ONE I JUST MENTIONED EARLIER THAT’S EXPECTED TO DEVELOP. AND THEN A THIRD DISTURBANCE, A TROPICAL WAVE OFF THE COAST OF AFRICA. LET’S FIRST TALK ABOUT DEXTER AGAIN. THIS IS A FISH STORE NOT IMPACTING ANY LAND. SO WE’RE NOT WORRIED ABOUT THAT. WE’RE ALSO WATCHING AGAIN AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE THAT’S EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE WEEK OFF THE CAP OFF THE COAST HERE OVER THE SOUTHEAST. THIS IS EXPECTED TO DRIFT WEST NORTHWESTWARD. EVEN IF IT DOES DEVELOP AND MOVE WEST NORTHWESTWARD, IT’S STILL GOING TO BRING US QUITE A BIT OF RAIN LATE WEEK HERE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA AND INTO THE WEEKEND. AND FINALLY, THE THIRD DISTURBANCE IS A TROPICAL WAVE OFF THE COAST OF AFRICA NOW. BUT AS IT MOVES WEST NORTHWESTWARD INTO THE CENTRAL ATLANTIC, THAT’S WHEN IT MOVES INTO MORE FAVORABLE CONDITIONS, AND A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD FORM WITH THAT. AS WE GO INTO LATE WEEK, RIGHT NOW HA
