ONE OF SEVERAL ACTIVITIES IN THE FREE NFL DRAFT EXPERIENCE AT LAMBEAU FIELD. FANS REPRESENTING TEAMS FROM ALL OVER. FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE. I LOVE IT. ALL RIGHT. DOES IT HURT TO SAY THAT AS A BEARS FAN? NO, MA’AM. GETTING A GLIMPSE AT GREATNESS LIKE EVERY SUPER BOWL RING EXCEPT THE MOST RECENT ONE, E A G L E S EAGLES. THESE DEFENDING CHAMPS LOVING THE CLOSE UP LOOK, I WAS COOL, IT WAS REALLY COOL. I SEEN PICTURES OF IT, BUT IT’S A WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE WHEN YOU ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY SEE IT RIGHT NEXT DOOR. SMILE. THE CROWN JEWEL FOR ANY FOOTBALL FAN. THE LOMBARDI TROPHY. THAT’S AS CLOSE AS A COWBOYS FAN OR ANY COWBOYS WILL GET IN A WHILE. SO IT’S BEEN 30 YEARS, AND I FEEL LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE THAT CLOSE TO IT. THEN THERE’S THE DRAFT HOUSE, A PACKERS THEMED DIVE BAR WITH A LOT OF ACTIVITIES WISCONSINITES KNOW WELL, LIKE THE DICE GAME SHAKE OF THE DAY. OR HAVE YOU EVER DONE A PULL TAB BEFORE? I HAVE NOT DONE A PULL TAB BEFORE. IT’S MY FIRST ONE AND I WON. I’M AMAZED THE INSTANT LOTTERY TICKET, BETTER KNOWN AS PULL TABS THE EXPERIENCE A ONCE IN A LIFETIME ONE THAT NOT. MILWAUKEE —The first player with Iowa ties went off the board in round two of the NFL draft.

Jayden Higgins, a two-year starter at receiver for Iowa State, was the second pick of the second round. He was selected by the Houston Texans with the No. 34 overall pick.

Higgins posted 15 touchdowns and 2,166 receiving yards in his two years in Ames. He was second-team All-Big 12 as a senior.

Several more in-state players are expected to be taken in later rounds of the NFL draft.
