NEW YORK GIANTS
It won’t take long for the New York Giants to be on the clock.
The G-Men hold the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after a calamitous 2024 season that featured a 3-14 record and the early departure of quarterback Daniel Jones just one and a half seasons into a four-year extension.
General manager Joe Schoen got to work early this offseason building up the team in free agency. Big Blue brought in two veteran quarterbacks – Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston – and added defensive upgrades like cornerback Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland, among other things.

GIANTS QUARTERBACKS: New York has created the funniest quarterback room ever
Giants 2025 NFL Draft needs
Quarterback
New York has two veterans in the building after signing Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason. They’re still missing a young gunslinger that can take over as the future face of the franchise. Might they select one with the third overall pick, or will they wait until a later round?
Offensive line
The Giants have their franchise left tackle in Andrew Thomas, who signed a five-year extension in 2023. The rest of the offensive line could use some improvements. If the team drafts a young quarterback, it would behoove them to do everything they can to keep him protected in the pocket.
Giants 2025 NFL mock draft
Here’s what the Giants could do come draft night, according to USA TODAY Sports’ Ayrton Ostly:
- Round 1 – No. 3: CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado
- He’s arguably the best player in the draft and can be an immediate contributor on both sides of the ball with All-Pro potential at cornerback. Whoever plays QB for New York in 2025 will be happy to see him take time on offense.
- Round 2 – No. 34: OL Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon
- The Giants get help for the offensive line with the Oregon product here. His athleticism could make him a starter at either tackle or guard.
- Round 3 – No. 65: WR Tre Harris, Ole Miss
- Round 3 – No. 99: QB Kyle McCord, Syracuse
- Round 4 – No. 105: Edge Jared Ivey, Ole Miss
- Round 5 – No. 154: DT Jamaree Caldwell, Oregon
- Round 7 – No. 219: WR Kobe Hudson, UCF
- Round 7 – No. 246: CB Jacobe Covington, USC
