FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields left the training camp field on a cart Thursday after he dropped to the ground following an incomplete pass during 11-on-11 drills. He initially walked off the field to the medical tent with a heavy limp before being driven inside to the locker room.
A team doctor spoke to general manager Darren Mougey as Fields was being taken inside. The team has not yet provided any injury update, though head coach Aaron Glenn will speak after practice.
Veteran Tyrod Taylor is the Jets’ backup quarterback. New York also has a couple others, including Adrian Martinez and undrafted rookie Brady Cook, without any NFL game experience.
