Kieran Culkin won the O in EGOT tonight, scoring the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his work in A Real Pain. But even though this was the Academy Awards, we flashed back to the Emmys. It was Culkin’s second time beating his Succession co-star Jeremy Strong, who was nominated in the same category for his work in The Apprentice, after beating him in Best Leading Actor in a Drama at the 2023 Emmy Awards. Upon winning, he turned to Strong and called him a “fucking amazing actor,” which was bleeped. After the sound came back in, Culkin was still focused on Strong. “Jeremy, you are amazing in The Apprentice,” he said. “I’m not supposed to single anyone out. Anyway. But you were great.” We think the politeness police watching the Oscars might just let an exception through for Roman Roy thanking his older brother.
