Ja Morant injury update: Memphis Grizzlies relay positive news on star point guard’s timeline

Memphis Grizzlies interim coach Tuomas Iisalo confirmed on April 26 that star point guard Ja Morant won’t be available for Game 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Morant is dealing with a hip contusion after a hard fall in Game 3. Morant jumped up and fell after making contact with Thunder wing Lu Dort while airborne.

Memphis may not have Morant for Game 4, but the team provided encouraging news ahead of Game 4.

“Fortunately, he’s avoided a serious injury, and that’s a big positive,” Iisalo said.

Morant missed eight games earlier this season while dealing with a hip injury after a hard fall against the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, Morant missed 32 regular season games due to injuries.
