How to watch San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres

The first-place San Francisco Giants head south to take on their division rivals, the San Diego Padres, in a short two-game series starting tonight at Petco Park.

Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Logan Webb, who enters tonight’s game with a 1.98 ERA, 1.83 FIP, with 44 strikeouts to 10 walks in 36.1 innings pitched over six starts. His last start was in the Giants’ 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday, in which he allowed six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in six and a third scoreless innings.

He’ll be facing off against Padres right-hander Nick Pivetta, who enters tonight’s game with a 1.20 ERA, 2.20 FIP, with 30 strikeouts to seven walks in 30 innings pitched over five starts. His last start was in the Padres’ 2-0 win over the Detroit Tigers, in which he allowed just two hits and walks each, with six strikeouts in seven innings.

This should be a good pitcher’s duel, but the Padres will have the advantage on offense, with much more history against Webb than the Giants have against Pivetta. Mike Yastrzemski does have a home run against him, and Willy Adames has a .375 average in eight at-bats.
