German coach explains decisions as Barcelona dominate FC Seoul in pre season clash

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick shared his thoughts after his team’s 7 – 3 win over FC Seoul in pre season friendly held Thursday at the Seoul World cup Stadium.

Barca delivered attacking spectacle as Lamine Yamal & Ferran Torres each scored twice. Robert Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen and Gavi Paez also got on the scoresheet as Flick used 24 player throughout the 90 minute.

Notably Inigo Martinez & Eric Garcia remained on the bench the entire match. When asked, Flick explained:

“It was very important to take care of Eric & Inigo both of whom’d injury concerns. But overall, I’m very happy”

Flick praised the team’s sharp start before admitting there was brief drop in performance. He noted:

“We picked up the rhythm again especially in the 2nd half with Gavi, Ferran and Marcus Rashford”

When asked about Gavi’s best position, Flick highlighted the 20 year old’s versatility and influence:

“What I saw from Gavi’s exactly what I want , he was pushing the team forward like true leader”

Barca beat Vissel Kobe 3 – 1 in their 1st pre season match in Japan.
They now face Daegu FC on Monday before returning to Spain.
Their final warm up game will be against Como in the Joan Gamper Trophy on 10 Aug.
