Wisconsin State Fair officials announced the cancellation of the fair’s final day due to flash flooding at State Fair Park. The closure decision was made Sunday morning after flooding forced an early shutdown Saturday evening.”We understand the disappointment you may feel as our team works all year for these 11 days. However, the safety of our Fairgoers, team, partners, and vendors will always be our top priority,” fair officials said in a statement.Tickets purchased through Etix for The “Happy Together” Tour scheduled for Sunday evening will be automatically refunded to purchasers.”We are saddened we cannot deliver this final day of the Wisconsin State Fair, but know that this is the best decision with current conditions and the forecast ahead,” the statement concluded.
