MORGAN SAYS HE ALSO WANTED TO INCLUDE THE RICH FLAVORS OF COUNTRIES THAT MAKE THE SPORT GREAT. THAT INCLUDES DISHES LIKE CAULIFLOWER TIKKA MASALA, LOADED HOT METS, ALFIO’S, EMPANADAS AND ARGENTINE NACHOS. FC Cincinnati and Mexican club Tigres UANL played to a 1-1 draw Tuesday night in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16.The two clubs will play next Tuesday night in Mexico for the second leg, with the winner moving on to the quarterfinal round of the international tournament.FC Cincinnati got on the board early, with Pavel Bucha connecting on a goal in the third minute to give the Orange and Blue a 1-0 lead.In the 17th minute, Tigers UANL responded, with Nicolás Ibáñez sinking a header to even the score at 1-1.For the game, FC Cincinnati took 12 shots to Tigres UANL’s six, but just five of those shots came on goal, keeping the score at 1-1 for the remainder of the match.The Concacaf Champions Cup consists of five direct elimination rounds and the best clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.The tournament is also the sole qualification route for the region’s clubs to the new and expanded FIFA Club World Cup.FC Cincinnati’s next MLS game will be on Saturday, when Toronto comes to TQL Stadium. The match starts at 7:30 p.m.
