Eddie Hall addresses cheating allegations after knocking out five-time World’s Strongest Man in 30 seconds

April 26 was a big day for fight fans with multiple events all taking place within a few hours of one another.

Before the UFC returned to Kansas City where Ian Machado Garry defeated Carlos Prates, there were several other big attractions throughout the day.

London may have witnessed a classic bout as Chris Eubank Jr came out on top against Conor Benn but over in Poland is where a lot of wandering eyes ended up.

In a heavyweight clash for the ages at KSW 105, Eddie Hall stopped Mariusz Pudzianowski in just 28-seconds after the two man-mountains started trading blows.

The fight was electric for as long as it lasted but there was one talking point that developed in the immediate aftermath of a crazy viewing experience.

After suffering his third consecutive knockout loss, Mariusz Pudzianowski had some complaints about the way that the fight played out at the PreZero Arena in Gliwice, Poland.

The former five-time World’s Strongest Man was hurt early on in the fight with Eddie Hall using his strength to control his stumbling opponent whilst attempting to land follow-up strikes.

Pudzianowski held the back of his head immediately after the fight was waved off before he went on to post about his issues on his Instagram story.

“I lost!!! 5 hammers to the back of the head were enough and I blacked out. A hit to the back of the head was enough!!!”

When watching the footage back, it is clear that several of Hall’s ground and pound strikes to an already hurt Pudzianowski do hit the back of his head as he attempts to get his man out of there.

This isn’t necessarily surprising given the chaotic nature of the fight and the former strongman’s lack of MMA experience but his Polish opponent certainly has a point.

Whether it would have changed the outcome or not, there didn’t even appear to be a warning from the referee to not hit him in the back of the head.

Hall didn’t acknowledge this in his post-fight social media post but he did show respect towards Pudzianowski by apologizing for his actions when speaking to the media after the fight.

“I do hold my hands up when I say, ‘I’m sorry for hitting you in the back of the head.’ I don’t condone that and I wouldn’t want it done to me.”

Eddie Hall spoke in his post-fight interview about how he isn’t interested in chasing world titles or anything like that in MMA.

He did say that he would be happy to do the rematch after Mariusz Pudzianowski’s complaints but the Polish icon didn’t seem sold on the idea.

Pudzianowski was already speaking about retirement ahead of the fight after everything that he has accomplished and a 28-second loss hasn’t changed his stance.

The 48-year-old stated that he’s not thinking about the future at this time.

“I turned 48, almost 49. The sport is for young people. What’s next? I don’t know.”
