Dolphins acquiring Giants TE Darren Waller for 2026 sixth-round pick

Miami acquiring Waller is a surprise after the Dolphins traded TE Jonnu Smith and cornerback Jalen Ramsey to Pittsburgh for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick on Monday.

Waller recently informed the Giants that he wanted to play again specifically only for Miami, Pelissero added. He got his wish and will now join a dynamic offense featuring Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and De’Von Achane.

The Dolphins’ current tight end room includes Pharaoh Brown, Jalin Conyers and Julian Hill.

Waller will get a chance to go against one of his former teams this season when Miami hosts the Ravens in Week 9.

Miami will have the opportunity to see its new addition when training camp starts on July 22.
