Detroit Lions swing second trade of Day 2, grab Arkansas WR Isaac TeSlaa

  • The Detroit Lions traded up for their third pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Arkansas wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa.
  • Before playing two seasons in the SEC, TeSlaa starred for Division II Hillsdale College in Michigan.
  • TeSlaa joins OSU DT Tyleik Williams and Georgia G Tate Ratledge as Lions draft picks in 2025.

The Detroit Lions moved up in the Round 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft to select a wide receiver, selecting Isaac TeSlaa with the 70th overall pick.

TeSlaa, a Hudsonville native and self-proclaimed Lions fan, played two seasons at Arkansas after beginning his career at Division II Hillsdale College.

To get in position to take TeSlaa with the No. 70 overall pick, the Lions dealt their third-round choice (No. 102 overall) and two 2026 third-round picks to the Jaguars in exchange for a sixth-round pick (No. 182) in this year’s draft and another sixth-round choice in 2026.

The Lions snagged former Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams with their first-round choice and then selected Georgia guard Tate Ratledge with the 57th overall selection in Round 2 after swapping picks with the Denver Broncos to move up three slots. Because of that trade, Detroit isn’t scheduled to go on the clock again until the sixth round when the draft resumes Saturday. The Lions will then have another sixth round pick and three more choices after that — all in the seventh round.
