Chelsea vs AC Milan: Pre-season friendly – LIVE

Chelsea vs AC Milan LIVE!

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea made it two wins from two in pre-season on Sunday as they put four goals past AC Milan. The Italians played much of the match with ten men after Andrei Coubis, making his first senior Milan appearance, was dismissed for tackling last man Joao Pedro with less than 20 minutes played. It was a dismal debut for the Romanian, who also opened the scoring with an own goal, turning home Reece James’ cross.

The Blues flew in the first half, with Pedro then heading home from Pedro Neto’s cross to double their lead. A second-half brace from Liam Delap completed their scoring for the day after Youssouf Fofana pegged one back for the Rossoneri.

Maresca now has a pleasant problem on his hands as he has to decide which of his strikers will start a week from today when Crystal Palace visit Stamford Bridge to open the Premier League season. Both Delap and Pedro have been on form in pre-season, scoring four of Chelsea’s six summer goals between them. Estevao impressed off the bench again, winning the penalty for Chelsea and keeping the Italians guessing throughout. Catch up on the action as it happened below!

85mins: Deafening applause as Ruben Loftus-Cheek is subbed off by Milan.

83mins: Estevao zips a cross in for Andrey Santos, who can’t get his shot on target.

78mins: Reggie Walsh, Tyrique George, Jorrel Hato, and Dario Essugo replace Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Jamie Gittens, and Pedro Neto.

75mins: Estevao has those at Stamford Bridge on the edge of their seats whenever he touches the ball. Such an exciting talent.

It says a lot that Estevao is already on corner duties for Chelsea. He’s barely kicked a ball for the Blues and is already one of their most trusted players at just 18.

Milan get a goal back, cue muted celebrations from the away bench. The visitors have been better in the second-half.
