Caitlyn Jenner has been seen for the first time since the tragic death of her friend and manager, Sophia Hutchins. On July 4, TMZ uploaded photos of Jenner that were taken on July 3 — just one day after Hutchins died in an ATV accident.
Jenner was dressed casually on a coffee run, sporting a blue T-shirt, a pair of shorts and accessorizing with a visor and keeping her eyes covered under a pair of sunglasses. She waved to nearby paparazzi while taking a sip of her coffee.
The day prior to Jenner’s outing was absolutely tragic. According to TMZ, Hutchins, 29, was riding on an ATV not too far from Jenner’s home when she collided with another car’s bumper. The impact sent the ATV “350 feet down into a ravine.”
Jenner, 75, has yet to speak out publicly about Hutchins’ death. However, many fans have taken to Instagram to leave condolences on Jenner’s pinned post.
“I’m so deeply sorry for the heartbreaking loss of Sophia. Though we don’t know each other, please know that my heart is with you. I’m sending you love, strength, and comfort during this unimaginable time,” one person wrote.
“I am so sorry for your loss.. I wish you are not alone and you have people to help you and be there for you,” someone else said.
“I’m so sorry for your loss of Sophia I know she was a very dear friend of yours this is very tragic news,” a third comment read.
Hutchins and Jenner first met in 2015 and became incredibly close. In 2017, Hutchins became Jenner’s manager, taking over the role from Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner.
Despite rumors that Caitlyn and Hutchins were romantically involved, they maintained that their relationship was platonic.
“I wouldn’t describe it as a romantic relationship. I would describe our relationship as we’re partners. We’re business partners … We have so much in common,” Hutchins said on the “Hidden Truths” podcast, according to the Standard.
“We see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each other because we challenge each other. She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways, and I hope I challenge her to grow … It’s a great match, a great partnership,” Hutchins added.
