The San Francisco 49ers preseason slate opens Saturday evening against the Denver Broncos at Levi’s Stadium.

Even if the final score doesn’t count toward the standings, the snaps will count for the players vying for starting jobs and roster spots.

Broncos vs. 49ers predictions
- Kyle Madson, Niners Wire: There will most certainly be 60 minutes of football at Levi’s Stadium, and one team will undoubtedly score more points than the other and be declared a winner. We’ll lean toward the Broncos because the 49ers will be rolling out a ton of players who either aren’t experienced or won’t be on an NFL roster come September. Broncos 20, 49ers 16
49ers injury updates
San Francisco’s injury situation is rough, but the key absences include wide receiver Jauan Jennings (calf), rookie defensive end Mykel Williams (knee) and rookie running back Jordan James (finger). It’s unlikely most of the primary starters will suit up for the preseason opener like Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey, but they’re not dealing with injuries.
