Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers have always had a complicated relationship dating back to their years together in Green Bay. But despite not making a single Pro Bowl since his last MVP campaign in 2021, the Hall of Famer still has faith in Rodgers’ ability to lead a team and win.

Sitting down with TMZ Sports, Favre said his former understudy “still has the potential to lead a team to the Super Bowl.”
“He can still play. There’s no question,” Brett told the Hollywood outlet. “If he can stay relatively injury-free, I think the guy can bring a lot of victories to the table.”
Favre added that he thinks Aaron is looking for a magical year — a lot like the one he had with the Minnesota Vikings later in his career — and that statistically, the 41-year-old has “blown me out of the water.”

Rodgers signed with the Steelers this summer after a disappointing two-year stint with the Jets that was really more like one after his season-ending Achilles tear in 2023.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Aaron look like the future HOF QB we came to know over his first 14 years as a starter. But nothing lasts forever and there’s no shame in the career Rodgers has put together for himself as the No. 24 pick out of Cal.

Aaron is the all-time leader in passer rating (102.2) and interception percentage (1.4%) and will easily go down as one of the best players of his generation.

Expectations are pretty mixed in Pittsburgh right now. However with the added pressure of this potentially being his last go-round in the NFL, maybe No. 8 still has something up his sleeve in big 2025. That starts with getting on the same page as his Steelers receivers this preseason though.
