6:04PM City are in the Champions League and De Bruyne is being serenaded by the City end. He’s standing in front of the rest of the squad waving and saying goodbye.
6:03PM The final whistle at St James’ Park is met with a mixture of relief and celebration as Newcastle clinch a place in the Champions League for the second time in three seasons, but boy were they made to work hard for it by an admirable Everton side. 6:03PM On the controversial Bayindir/Rogers incident in the 72nd minute, the Premier League had this to say: “The referee’s call was a free kick to Manchester United with Bayindir deemed to be in control of the ball before Rogers gained possession. The whistle was blown by the referee before the ball entered the goal, therefore the incident was not reviewable by the VAR.”
That early whistle could have cost them £100m.
6:02PM And that’s it! The Premier League season comes to an end with United beating Villa 2-0 in hugely controversial circumstances. So it’s sixth place for Villa and seventh for Forest.

6:00PM It’s full time too at Craven Cottage and City seal a third-placed finish in routine fashion.
