ALVARADO, Texas (KWTX) – Benjamin Hanil Song is wanted for his alleged involvement in the July 4th attack on the Prairieland Detention Center in North Texas, the Dept. of Public Safety announced late Wednesday.
During the attack on the facility, an Alvarado Police Officer was shot and wounded in the neck.
On July 9, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Song, who is charged with attempted murder of a federal officer and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.
Song should be considered armed and dangerous, DPS said.

Earlier this week, federal prosecutors charged 10 individuals for their alleged roles in the shooting of the Alvarado police officer.
