Jackie Sandler is living a real-life rom-com. The actress and mom of two first locked eyes with Adam Sandler in 1999 on the set of Big Daddy, where she played a waitress. Four years later, the pair wed in an oceanfront ceremony at Dick Clarke’s Malibu home. Today, the Sandlers are parents to two daughters, who have joined their parents on the silver screen in movies like You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.

The Sandlers celebrated 20 years of marriage in June 2023. Adam marked the occasion with a touching Instagram tribute, writing “Your “I do” was the best gift of my life. My heart has been yours since the first second I saw you and I love and appreciate your devoted soul more and more each day.”

Her career began as a model.

Born on Sept. 24, 1974, in Coral Springs, Florida, Jackie began modeling in high school, according to her IMDB bio. She had her breakthrough acting moment in 1999 when she played Sally in Rob Schneider’s film Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. Her next role would feature Schneider’s good friend Adam Sandler, who she worked with on Big Daddy.

She met Adam on the set of Big Daddy in 1999.

Adam met Jackie during the filming of Big Daddy in 1999, where her role was playing a waitress in a local sports bar.

In 2020, the actor shared a loving message to his wife on Instagram in celebration of their anniversary, marking the day they first met. “22 years ago today we locked eyes and fell deep,” Adam wrote alongside a throwback image of him and Jackie. “Looking forward to the next 22, young lady. Love you my forever girl.”

They married in 2003.

Adam and Jackie were married on June 22nd, 2003 in an outdoor Jewish ceremony in Malibu, per People. The nuptials, which had 400 guests in attendance, included some of Adams’ well-known friends, such as Jennifer Aniston and Sharon Osbourne, plus Adam’s dog Meatball, who donned a tuxedo for the occasion.

Adam and Jackie hit a milestone anniversary of 20 years in June 2023. On Instagram, Adam wrote, “Happy 20th, my sweet Jackie!” alongside a photo from the couple’s wedding. “Lets keep going and going babe. Lots of love to give you. Always.”

They share two daughters.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Sadie, in May 2006. Adam let the world know the newborn’s arrival on his website, writing, “Kid is healthy!! Wife is healthy!!”

Jackie and Adam welcomed a second daughter, Sunny, in November 2008, a few years later, and he once again announced the birth on his website. The girls have appeared in a few of their father’s films, including Hotel Transylvania and Murder Mystery. Jackie has also made cameos in her husband’s movies, including 50 First Dates, Grown Ups, The Wrong Missy, and Hubie Halloween.

In November 2022, Sandler received the Film Tribute Award at the Gotham Awards in New York City. While accepting the award, he told the crowd that he had been “too busy” to write a speech, so he let his teenage daughters craft one for him. The girls poked fun at their father, writing, “[The Gotham award] means a lot to him, seeing how most of the awards on his trophy shelf are shaped like popcorn buckets, blimps or fake mini Oscars that say ‘Father of the Year,’ which he sadly purchased himself.”

The whole Sandler family appeared in the August 2023 Netflix film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah—an adaptation of author Fiona Rosenbloom’s 2005 novel of the same name. In the flick, Sunny stars as Stacy Friedman, Sadie appears as Stacy’s sister, Ronnie, Adam plays their father, and Jackie plays the role of Gabi, the mother of Stacy’s best friend.

That same year, Sunny, Sadie, and Jackie all voiced characters in the animated movie Leo, in which Adam voices the namesake character. Previously, the whole family appeared in both Grownups and Grownups 2. And most recently, the family of four starred in Happy Gilmore 2.
