Since the middle of March, WWE has aired weekly videos that feature a creepy and dark tone, teasing a big reveal on the April 25 episode of SmackDown. This immediately led to fan speculation about Aleister Black’s highly anticipated return to WWE after exiting AEW in February.

Tonight happens to be April 25, so The Miz really should have known better than to step in the ring and complain about being overlooked by WWE’s decision makers at WrestleMania 41. The lights went out during his rant, leading to Black’s badass entrance:

To his credit, the Miz didn’t back down, but he was immediately knocked out with the Black Mass spinning roundhouse kick.

Black’s return match is now scheduled against The Miz on next week’s (May 2) episode.
