Even before this past weekend’s embarrassing CBS interview — in which Jordon Hudson made it clear who wears the pants in her romance with Bill Belichick — the legendary football coach’s friends were “shaking their heads,” one insider told The Post. “They are talking to him about her, but very gently because they know how deep in he is.
“She saw an opening and she took it,” the insider added of how Hudson, 24, has inserted herself into every aspect of her 73-year-old boyfriend’s life and career.
The consensus among people around Belichick, another source said, is that this relationship is “alarming” and Hudson “is a runaway train.”
She has been heavily criticized and mocked after interfering in the former Patriots coach’s interview with “CBS Sunday Morning” about his new book, “The Art of Winning” — shutting down the conversation when correspondent Tony Dokoupil asked how the couple met.

“We’re not talking about this,” Hudson said, interrupting the on-camera Q&A.
“No?” Dokoupil asked while Belichick sat silent.
“No,” Hudson emphatically replied.
It was a surprise that CBS chose to keep such an awkward behind-the-scenes moment in the final interview, but, as Dokoupil said in a voiceover: “Jordon was a constant presence during our interview.”
In fact, NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk reported, “While we don’t know the total number of interruptions, it’s our understanding that CBS decided to include that one specific instance because it wasn’t a one-time thing.”

Hudson has also made her presence known at the University of North Carolina, where she recently attended spring practice as Belichick prepares for his first season coaching college ball.
In March, it was revealed that Belichick wanted Hudson CC’ed on all emails between him and Robbi Pickeral Evans, the school’s Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs and Strategic Communications.
“I am including Jordon on this email so she can also keep up with our postings. Can you include her on anything you send to me? Thank you. BB,” read an email discovered in a FOIA filed by Axios and The Assembly.

“Hudson was later copied on emails about whether to accept various interview requests,” The Assembly reporter Matt Hartman later posted on Bluesky.
Her email signature, according to the Athletic, says Hudson is Chief Operating Officer of Belichick Productions.
She was also involved in negotiations with NFL Films about a “Hard Knocks”-style documentary/ informercial on the Tar Heels and Belichick, according to PFT.
The Post reached out to UNC for both Belichick and Hudson.
“This guy is known as being such a strong voice and in many ways autocratic — and here he is becoming mush in her hands and letting her direct everything,” the insider The Post. “She is so much younger, so inexperienced and so lacking in perspective and professionalism.”

But a woman who has competed alongside Hudson — who was first runner-up in the 2024 Miss Maine USA contest — in the pageant world says the former Bridgewater State cheerleader is ambitious.
“I’m sure she could probably run a football team easily and compete in high heels and run a business,” said one source from the pageant world. “[Her pageant rivals] might not agree with her men choices, but she’s very well liked. She’s very smart. I could see her being a good business woman. That said, his accomplishments overshadow her potential.”
Hudson was raised in Hancock, Maine, where her parents, Lee and Heath Hudson, previously ran a family business, Frenchmans Bay fisheries, that went bankrupt after the area they fished was closed off in 2000.
Lee later moved to Provincetown, Mass., where she manages the Toys of Eros sex shop.

“Jordon clearly gets her open mindedness, entrepreneurial spirit and will to promote social welfare from her mother,” a family source told The Post last year.
Hudson met Belichick on a 2021 flight from Boston to Florida, according to according to TMZ, which obtained a photo of their first encounter.
He even autographed her “Deductive Logic” textbook.
“Jordon, Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels!” Belichick wrote, adding the date of Feb. 11, 2021. (In February of this year, she celebrated their “meetiversary” on Instagram, saying, “Cheers to the fact that you still let me give you lengthy philosophical lectures four years later.”)

“He’s old enough to be her grandfather! She’s not shy — wanting the limelight is one thing but dating someone in his 70s is another. I didn’t realize she’d go as far to do that for fame,” one pageant competitor who knows Hudson previously told The Post.
Belichick ended his relationship with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday, then 60, in September 2023.
In early May 2024, about a month before the coach’s relationship with Hudson became public, retired Patriots player Rob Gronkowski took at dig during Tom Brady’s Netflix roast — recalling when Belichick compared the NFL team to football players at a local school.
“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,” Gronkowski said. “But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.”

By June, Hudson was showing up to cheer practice at a Hingham, Mass., gym driving a white Porsche Macan S. The SUV, which has a base price of $75,000, is reportedly a gift from Belichick.
Sources said leaving the Patriots after 24 years in January 2024 — owner Robert Kraft later said, “I didn’t enjoy having to fire him” — put Belichick in a vulnerable position around the same time things began heating up with Hudson.
“All the things that had been a certainty for him all of a sudden weren’t,” the insider said. “And he had a lot of extra time on his hands — and this girlfriend is a way to fill the time.”
Added to that, moving from the NFL to college ball was a life shift in ways Belichick — a guy who has never been known to have much of an inner circle — had not anticipated. Sources said it may have been easier to trust Hudson than deal with new people on the school’s staff.

“Here’s a guy who was used to having people take care of everything for him — including media requests,” the insider added of the ease with which Belichick began turning over responsibilities to Hudson. She began “gaining more and more territory, filling a need that he had — and she was very aggressive
“This CBS interview really exposed how bad things are and how much control that she’s been able to get. The optics were brutal.”
But the big head-scratcher in pageant circles is the news, announced earlier this month, that Hudson will compete in the Miss Maine USA pageant again in May.
“I did hear that she’s competing and I thought to myself, why? She’s got it all,” said the pageant world source. “Most of the time the girls are doing a pageant, they want access and resources. She’s already clearly famous.”
