‘The Smashing Machine’ dropped a trailer on April 29. It features blockbuster movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and details the life of former UFC champion Mark Kerr.
In this film, Kerr’s career is highlighted by showing his rise to stardom, starting with his victory as a high school and college wrestling champion and then transitioning into an MMA career, where he won four ADCC and two UFC Heavyweight championships.
These accolades and fighting styles allowed Kerr to earn the nickname of The Smashing Machine.
Kerr’s struggles are also touched on, including his health issues from his addiction to painkillers and how those struggles caused problems with his wife, Dawn Staples; the film will be in theaters on Oct. 3.
