TORONTO — Manager Alex Cora will go with the typical lineup he uses against a right-handed starter Tuesday.
The Red Sox and Blue Jays begin a three-game series here at Rogers Centre. First pitch is at 7:07 p.m.
Toronto righty Bowden Francis is on the hill. Hitters in the Red Sox lineup are a combined 2-for-24 with two walks and nine strikeouts against him.
Only Trevor Story (1-for-2 with a double) and Jarren Duran (1-for-5) have hits against him.
Ace Garrett Crochet will start for Boston.
Crochet faced the Blue Jays on April 8 at Fenway Park in frigid temperatures. He took the loss, allowing four runs (one earned run), five hits and four walks while striking out five in 5 ⅔ innings. George Springer homered against him.
Boston lost three of four games during that series at Fenway Park April 7-10.
Toronto has lost seven of its past eight games, including both games of a doubleheader against the Yankees on Sunday in New York.
