A crash has closed East Main Street in Newark starting at South Chapel Street.

Early indications are that multiple vehicles are involved, possibly including a rental moving truck. The scene of the accident is located on Main Street by the old Post Office at Center Street.

Newark police warned motorists of the crash shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 29.

Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes. No estimation of when the road would reopen was provided.
