CHATHAM, Ill. (WICS) — The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, has identified the four students who were tragically killed when a motor vehicle crashed into the YNOT building in Chatham on Monday.
Postmortem procedures conducted on Tuesday revealed that the cause of death for each was multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the incident.
The victims have been identified as Ainsley Johnson, 8, of Chatham; Rylee Britton, 18, of Springfield; Kathryn Corley, 7, of Chatham; and Alma Buhnerkempe, 7, of Chatham.
The deaths remain under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner, the Illinois State Police and the Chatham Police Department.
