The Detroit Tigers have been on fire of late, wrapping up their 10-game home stand with a sweep of the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday afternoon. Now, the team hits the road for a 10-spot away from the friendly confines of Comerica Park.
The first stop is at the Houston Astros, who host their former manager, AJ Hinch, for a three-game set stretching from Monday to Wednesday. The ‘Stros had won five of six, including a sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays, but dropped two of their last three to the Kansas City Royals in their most recent series.
On Monday night, Detroit will send Jack Flaherty to the mound while Houston has Ronel Blanco taking the bump in defense of its home turf.

Jack Flaherty continues strong start
The 29-year-old has looked good so far this season but his last outing against the San Diego Padres represents his first quality start in five tries. It was a losing effort, but he tossed six frames of two-run ball on five hits and zero walks while striking out nine; he did surrender a home run, however.
Ronel Blanco’s up-and-down 2025
The 31-year-old has seen mixed results this season, but his biggest issue has been his consistent surrendering of runs across all five of his starts so far. However, in his most recent start against Toronto, he appeared to finally find his groove.
In that appearance, Blanco tossed his first quality start of the season with six innings of one-run ball on two hits — including a solo home run — and two walks while striking out three. He has allowed a dinger in his last three games, so hopefully the Tigers can go deep on him Monday.
