The White Sox unveiled their 2025 City Connect uniforms on Monday.
The jersey combines the stories of the Sox and the Chicago Bulls, both owned by Jerry Reinsdorf. The Sox will debut the uniforms this Friday against Houston.
“Our initial City Connect jersey was iconic. We wanted to build on the reach and connection of that City Connect uniform by creating a look that physically represents Chicago’s sports identity and do something that has never been done, White Sox chief revenue and marketing officer Brooks Boyer said in a news release.
Launched in 2021, the goal of the City Connect uniforms was meant to celebrate a team’s bond with its city. The Sox are the fifth team to debut a City Connect 2.0 jersey in 2025.
The Sox’ city connect uniforms feature pinstripes, a design element more known with the Bulls. The red stripes are a tribute for the Bulls.
The Sox’ City Connect uniforms feature two different on-field cap designs, the first for an MLB team to complete a City Connect look.
“For the first time, two of Chicago’s franchises will be represented on one jersey on a major league field. From the “Chicago” wordmark across the chest representing our city to the crossover elements within the jersey and cap, every detail is meant to be more than just a jersey and cap, but emblems of what it means to be bred in Chicago.”
