In a crucial Game 4 of the first-round playoff series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves, a contentious play involving LeBron James and Anthony Edwards has sparked significant backlash.

With under two minutes remaining in the first half and the Lakers holding a narrow 55-54 lead, James made an aggressive attempt to grab a loose ball. The play resulted in a foul, sending Edwards to the floor and momentarily halting the game. Edwards remained on the court for several moments, visibly shaken, but ultimately continued playing.

After a slow-mo video surfaced, the play quickly ignited reactions on social media, with fans criticizing James for what they perceived as a reckless and dangerous play.

“Aaaand LeBron takes out Anthony Edwards. Congrats LeBron, you figured out how to win the series,” one fan wrote on X.

At halftime, James had contributed 22 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while Edwards finished with 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
