Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. headed for the locker room early in the first quarter of Monday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after injuring his left ankle.
With 10:21 left in the first quarter, Jackson was attempting to chase down a Hawks player and block a shot from behind. Jackson twisted his left ankle while falling to the floor.
The Grizzlies All-Star was grimacing in pain before walking off the floor gingerly and going to the locker room.
Jackson is listed as doubtful to return against the Hawks.
Jackson has been one of the most durable Grizzlies players this season. He has appeared in 59 consecutive games since missing the first two games of the season.

Jackson is averaging a career high 23.1 points. He is one of the top candidates for the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
Second-year Grizzlies forward GG Jackson checked into the game to replace Jaren Jackson Jr. Memphis is already without Santi Aldama, who is nursing a right calf injury.
