Jimmy Horn Jr. is officially an NFL rookie after being picked by the Carolina Panthers in the 2025 NFL draft. The Panthers selected the speedy receiver with the 208th overall selection.

Horn is a big-play waiting to happen. He makes up for his slender build with his top-end speed and competitiveness. Horn has sudden juice and acceleration that he uses to evade defenders and put defensive backs on skates. He catches in traffic without hesitation, and his yards after catch ability is top-tier. He can be a serviceable slot receiver in the NFL.

Horn is small but possesses speed to take the top off defenses. He is a fluid route runner and doesn’t lose speed during his routes. The size and durability may concern some teams, but he is a fearless receiver with elite catching ability, even when bracing for contact. Horn consistently turns crossing routes into significant gains. He is also a weapon in the return game.

In his two seasons at South Florida, he amassed 67 receptions for 959 yards and four touchdowns.

Once he got to Colorado, Horn totaled 1,008 receiving yards and seven scores off 95 grabs during his two seasons with the Buffaloes.

The 5-foot-9, 174-pounder also has experience on special teams. Horn tallied 33 kick returns and 14 punt returns during his college tenure.
