The Portland Trail Blazers have 23 games remaining in their 2024-25 regular season campaign and they aren’t going to be easy. Today John Schuhmann of NBA.com ran down the remaining strength of schedule for all 30 NBA teams and the Blazers registered the fourth-toughest slate in the league.
Portland’s opponents have a cumulative .542 winning percentage, virtually tying them with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 4th-5th positions. Only the Denver Nuggets (.544), the Sacramento Kings (.556), and the Phoenix Suns (.585) face a stronger list.
The Blazers also face 4 back-to-back games on their remaining schedule. The Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, and New York Knicks lead the league with 6 each.
Portland’s home/road game ratio stands even at 11 apiece. The Washington Wizards face the greatest imbalance, with 9 home games and 15 road games remaining. Conversely, the Indiana Pacers have 14 home games and just 10 road games ahead of them as the season closes.
10 of the top 11 teams by remaining strength of schedule reside in the Western Conference, so at least Portland has some company. The Suns have the strongest schedule remaining while the Toronto Raptors, with a .367 average opponent winning percentage, have the easiest.
