The final round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis has decided who’s moving on and who’s season has ended.
Only the top 50 in the FedEx Cup Standings will advance to the second of three legs of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the BMW Championship, which takes place next week in Maryland. The St. Jude started with 70 eligible golfers (but only 69 played due to Rory McIlroy electing not to play) and now there are 20 names removed from playoff participation.

Rickie Fowler keeps flirting with the top-50 cutoff
With two holes to go, Fowler is 1 under on his day and T7 overall and 48th in the FedEx Cup Playoffs race.

Time is running out for some golfers who started the week inside top 50
Aldrich Potgieter (43 to 51), Jake Knapp (47 to 55), Wyndham Clark (49 to 56) and Min Woo Lee (50 to 57) appear to be the group of golfers who will slip out of the top 50 for next week’s BMW Championship.
On the flip side, J.T. Poston (51 to 50), Bud Cauley (53 to 46), Kurt Kitayama (52 to 37) and Rickie Fowler (64 to 48) are the four who are making the most of their week in Memphis.

Several golfers have climbed inside the top 50… but there’s a lot of golf left
The top 50 is the magic number and there’s six golfers who have climbed inside that threshold:
- Kurt Kitayama, No. 52 to No. 45
- Bud Cauley, No. 53 to No. 47
- J.T. Poston, No. 51 to No. 48
- Jhonattan Vegas, No. 56 to No. 49
- Chris Kirk, No. 61 to No. 50
These standings are as of 3:56 p.m. ET so keep in mind there’s a lot of golf left and these standings are fluid.

Min Woo Lee plays solo, completes round in 2 hours, 10 minutes
Because of the odd-number of the field (69 players), Min Woo Lee ended up as a solo golfer and was the first one out Sunday. He sped around TPC Southwind, playing in just over two hours. He shot a final-round 70 but finished 10 over for the week, tied for DFL. He entered the week in the 50th and final spot but he left the course in 56th place, so his season appears to be over.
